Nestled in the heart of the historic Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, the Moses White Guest House is all yours for two nights.* Originally built in 1905, this Charleston single home has been renovated and comfortably sleeps up to six guests (in three bedrooms with king-size beds). The home has original molding and wood floors, new furniture and all the finishing touches, as well as a 2nd floor piazza, large brick patio and lush landscaping.
During your stay, Chef Robert Berry and his team will prepare and serve up a patio pizza party at the Guest House for up to 20 people. Using his custom-made Italian countryside hearth and sourcing ingredients from Lowcountry growers and purveyors, as well as from his personal garden, Chef Berry will regale guests over rich flavors and lasting memories.
*You may book your two-night stay on weekdays and/or weekends, depending upon availability, through May 31, 2024.
About Chef Robert Berry:
Chef Berry’s culinary journey began at one of Charleston’s most storied restaurants, Slightly North of Broad. After sharpening his skills in the Holy City, he studied at Paris' prestigious Cordon Bleu. Following, Chef Berry worked in a number of award-winning restaurants, including New York City’s Cookshop and Washington D.C.'s Le Paradou and Westend Bistro. Returning to Charleston, he opened Indaco, Pancito and Lefty, and finally a private retreat: the Moses White Guest House, a wood-fired dining experience with a small farm component including honey bees, laying hens and a vegetable garden. As an advocate for local markets and seasonal ingredients, Chef Berry works with Lowcountry farmers and purveyors to source fresh ingredients for his ever-changing menu.
